To the Incoming Sept 2011 Class, it's Official....

Just had an SJC meeting and we have decided that the September 2011 incoming class will be reading "Short White Coat" by James Feinstein. For those of you coming in late August, you will be receiving an email shortly about the book. It may seem annoying to have to read something before getting here, but it should be an enjoyable read and it will really give you a good picture of what to expect during clinicals in the 3rd and 4th year of medical school.

Since we are on an island, we never do get to see the 3rd and 4th year medical schools at AUC (because they are in the United States) and consequently we have no exposure or even a real idea of what the second half of medical school is like.  I'm finishing up my second semester now and I still don't have a clue of what to expect after my Step 1 exams. I'll also be reading this book during the break. Most likely on the flight back home to Boston.
