A little over a year ago, I wrote my first post and wasn't sure if I was ever going to write again. To be honest, I'm very surprised I kept up with this blog as long as I have.... but actually, the more I think about it the more I realize I shouldn't be. Just the fact I had a few of you coming back every so often was enough for me to keep writing. You see, I have this odd, but very characteristic propensity of never wanting to let anyone down. I like to be dependable, someone that others can count on and somewhere along the way I've convinced myself that if I stopped posting cold-turkey, at least a couple of you would be disappointed. Maybe this isn't the case at all, but the thought is already firmly planted in my head. This is what keeps me posting.
I just wanted to thank you guys for coming to visit me here everyday. I've been hitting well over 200 pageviews a day the last couple of weeks and my lifetime visits just passed the 30,000 mark. Also and somewhat of an anticlimactic moment, I wrote my 100th blogpost on Monday. For number 101, just wanted to say thank you to my readers.
Thank you!!!
I'm a lurker... I admit. My brother in law is a 1st semester student at Ross. Although you are not at the same school, I came across your blog while searching for information. I have enjoyed your story and I hope you use this blog as a personal account of your experience and not to entertain. You don't owe us (your readers) anything! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYes I agree that you don't us anything if you stop cold turkey and stop writing. I understand that med school requires a lot of time but I sincerely hope that you don't. I really enjoy reading your blog and as a student trying to get in this January it gives me a lot of insight to what it would be like. So Thank you Andrea and I hope to meet you come January! Praying for acceptance and getting through this huddle call the MCAT.
ReplyDeleteRandom fact about what we have in common: I lived in Boston for two years after undergraduate and I traveled back and forth b/w Boston and New Port.
Keep blogging. I check in every day to see how you are doing. I enjoy your stories and experiences. They're informative and inspiring to many students. Keep up the good work.
